Festive gathering with Shrine children, VIPs, clowns, parade units.
Fun and fantasy were present at the Pictou County Wellness Center while clowns and parade vehicules gave out balloon, tricks and smiles.
No matter the cold weather, we had a crowd that gathered to discover the Exceptional Care Odyssey's journey. Many politicians were present and gave a few words to support the construction of the New Shriners Hospital for Children-Canada, such as Honorable Peter Mackay, Deputy of Nova-Scotia, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada
Some Shrine children shared their stories, like Caroline who, helped by the Shriners Hospital for Children's Canada research team received a treatment adapted to her needs.
The day ended in Truro with a festive Shriners gathering where Miss Canada and former Shrine Patient Alyssa MacLeod shared a few words.
